Teaching Activities, Detlef Prescher

"Whenever you can, count." (Francis Galton)

Tutorials

The first tutorial covers a substantial part of the lecture notes of a foundational course on statistical natural language processing (statistical NLP). The course was given at an international summer school in 2003 and it was sponsored by the European Chapter of the Association for Computaional Linguistics (EACL). The short tutorial is linguistic-free but contains all the non-linguistic stuff of the longer version. Both versions are still under revision and comments are welcome! [Old versions can be found here.]
