Or are you more interested in creating NLP resources and tools for your mother tongue?! Then think about building a senteniser, stemmer, syllabifier, tagger, parser, generator, summariser, or sth else for your native language! Or do you want to re-build something already published in the literature?! Well, six months are probably long enough to create sth which is good enough...
Have also in mind that you eventually have to write an Bachelor- or Magister-Arbeit! So
what about software projects which are interesting, fun, but also serious and somehow RE-USABLE for your final Arbeit!?
